My life as a Colorado and destination documentary wedding photographer is all about seeing, anticipating, and composing. Seeing the light as it sculpts the world around us. Anticipating the fleeting but profound moments of love, joy, and excitement. Composing the visual elements that form our memories.
When I’m home, I love spending time with my family outside hiking, backpacking, biking and snowboarding or a night out for an amazing dinner. We also love to travel. Iceland has been a family favorite.
For me, wedding photography started in the Caribbean, on the island of Grenada. Since then, I’ve lived in numerous places with the opportunity to photograph all kinds of weddings; from rooftops in cities to barns on farms; from mountain lodges to big industrial spaces; from elopements with just the couple to weddings with 600 guests.
I love the diversity that comes with weddings. They have all types of families, traditions, and customs – couples young and old! Having LGBTQ+ weddings is something that I love and celebrate. I have family members that is a part of the community so I am always thrilled to be able to capture the love you share with your family whether that’s the family you were born into or the family you’ve chosen.
When I photograph your wedding I approach it with love and empathy, seeing and lifting up who you are, celebrating your relationship with eachother and the cherished people in your life!
I have two dogs: Dexter is a Black Lab and Aspen… some kind of Healer-cattle dog-Super Saiyan mix.
I have a degree in Industrial Design but started in art school with drawing, painting, and sculpture. I still do those but not as frequently as I’d like.
When I’m not at a wedding or behind my computer editing your photos you’ll find me in the mountains, mountain biking or backpacking in the summer and snowboarding in the winter.
I was a skateboarder and I think wedding photography is actually very similar. Don’t ask me to do a kick-flip, though!
I love to cook. I may be a food snob at times and if i really like it I might uncontrollably moan when I eat.
MY WIFE AND I MET SWING DANCING AND WE CAN STILL GET DOWN.
