I started shooting weddings while living for two years on the island of Grenada in the West Indies.  Living there has certainly had a profound effect on me as a photographer and on my life in general.  The richness in the color of the sky, the ocean, and the tropical landscapes clearly influence the culture in the Caribbean.  It's effect has definitely stayed with my photography.  My love of landscape photography grew immensely while in Grenada, as well.  There are so many amazing aspects about living there that I will hold on to forever…  the kindness of the people, slowing down to enjoy life in the moment, the ingenuity that is required when you have few resources, the peaceful sound of the rolling tide,  finding so many different adventures exploring an island only about 8 miles wide and 12 miles long.  It is kind of hard to put into words, but even though it was only two years, it is still the place that feels most like home.
